Ah jeez I barely started this blog and the ceiling is already collapsing on top of it. I don’t have anything insightful to contribute to this conversation so I guess I’ll just join the overwhelming choir of people telling Tumblr staff that this whole December 17 deal is a Major Dick Move.
I don’t really plan on boarding this place up just yet and there’s only about a hundred of you lovely people following me on this hellscape of a website anyway, but hey, if you’d rather follow me on slightly different hellscapes (and since everyone else seems to be doing it), here’s the links:

The degree to which I’m active on each of these varies greatly.
I’ve been sick for two days so the only logical thing to do was drawing fanart of Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor. It’s pretty great. Real shame it flew past my radar in 2016. If you ever wanted to play something that has personal charm of an alt game, but still packs a good 8-9 hours of gameplay (or just want an open world game that doesn’t force you to stare at a quest marker most of the time), this is the one to check out for sure.
(I botched the arm on all previous uploads of this image, so congrats to Tumblr for receiving a version of it that’s at least 1.2% less botched 👍).
An art test for a personal thing that I went a little bit too far with. Still like how it ended up though! They were originally a cat and a rabbit, but I decided that hedhehogs and bats don’t get a degree of representation in media they very much deserve.
Hey, so uh… I’ve opened up a store on RedBubble! :D
I’m still working out the kinks of all this merch stuff, but RB sounds like a decent solution for now. If you want a piece of fabric with my pictures on them, this is the chance you’ve been waiting for! Be warned that I’ll try to come up with a cheaper solution for those currently in Russia/CIS area, so maybe hold on to your wallet if that’s your case.
Recent concepts for Starfall Online I enjoyed doing. Our game designers mostly outlined these characters in a couple of brief sentences so I really got to have my way with these in terms of design. Can’t wait to see them all modeled, textured and animated! :D Hopefully none of my numerous and frustratingly vague headcanons will get debunked in the process.
Week three! I missed two days on top of already missing the first four, so now there’s almost a week’s worth of catching up to do and eeeh, not really sure if I’m up for that. At least I’ve beaten my last record and finished honest two thirds of it! :D
Week two! This one has both some of my most favorite and some of my least favorite Inktober drawings, so it all somewhat evens out in the end. Apparently I really like to doodle puffy tufts of grass and render needlessly complex tree textures, go figure.
First week of Inktober pieces! :D
I’ve started about a week later than everyone else, so this is still my first batch. Not a big fan of drawing anything the old-fashioned way, but it’s been quite fun so far! Feels less sluggish than last year. Probably because this time I’m taking it easy and don’t plan on making it into another big «project» for later repackaging into a zine or a gumroad item or whatever. This time I’m just messing around with watercolor, buying overpriced brushpens, try out different shading methods and do whatever I feel like doing. It still sucks up my two free hours a day and blocks progress on literally anything else, but y’know. It’s nice.
If you want to keep up on daily progress, I have a twitter.
I guess I can finally share this now? :O A friendly local IT company was running a mascot contest and I’ve been itching to try my hand at designing one for quite some time, so here she is, Mispy the ladybug! My entry didn’t win the contest, but it was pretty well received and I’ve had a lot of fun. It also ended up being very definitive of what I want my illustration style to look and feel like, I think. Bright, colorful, fluid, solid colors, as few sharp angles as possible. Definitely my jam.
Headache. Just more exploration of print ideas. This one would probably make for a neat sticker or an embroidered patch as well. For when you want everyone to know how you feel at any given moment! :D
Does this merit a body horror content warning?
There was a hackathon/gamejam/do-anything-you-want kind of event going on in my town called GeekNight and me and other guys from the studio decided to go and try our luck at developing a puzzle platformer! The rough idea for Dead Flame floated around for a while, but this was our first attempt at building upon it in any meaningful way. We managed to finish a playable prototype and even took third place! :D The GeekNight build has a surprising amount of working game mechanics and looks pretty neat overall, but it ended up being very short and rough around the edges, so there’s probably not a lot of sense in uploading it anywhere at the moment.
My favorite contribution by far was designing, modeling and texturing the protagonist! We cheated and prepared some of the assets ahead of time, so this guy didn’t really took me 12 hours to make, more like 3-4 days. I’m still a bit new to Blender, Substance Painter and other parts of this pipeline, but I’m still proud of this guy! :D My colleagues are eternally patient with my dumb questions about 3D, god bless them.
So what I used to do on my old Tumblr blog is I would collect all of my various doodles and WIPs from Twitter and show them off in one big masterpost. Seems like a good tradition to carry over! Gotta keep this blog updated somewhat :P
